Price times volume
A financial modeling exercise from Modeldrill. Solve it with a live spreadsheet grid in your browser, with Fill right and Fill down, and it is checked the moment you submit.
The task
Units sold are forecast in row 5 and the price per unit in row 6 (it already grows with B2). Build the revenue row: write B7 as units times price, then fill right to F7.
What this exercise teaches
A price times volume build keeps the two drivers visible. When someone asks why revenue moved, you can point at units or at price instead of a single typed number.
A hint if you get stuck
Both inputs sit in the same column as the answer, so neither reference needs a dollar sign. =B5*B6, then fill right.
