About Modeldrill
Modeldrill is financial modeling practice exercises in a spreadsheet grid. It is one of the Dravari drill sites, a family of practice tools built on the same idea: the fastest way to learn a skill you use at a keyboard is to do it, on a live tool, with instant checking, until it is a reflex.
How the exercises work
Write the first cell: Click a highlighted cell and type the formula, with the assumptions locked where they need to be. Fill the row or the schedule: Drag the fill handle, press Ctrl+R or Ctrl+D, or copy and paste: references adjust exactly as they do in Excel. Survive new assumptions: The model is recalculated with changed inputs. Hard-coded numbers and sliding references are flagged by cell.
Every exercise is checked automatically against the expected result, not against a fixed answer string, so a correct approach passes even when it is written differently from the reference solution. If a check ever seems unfair there is a report link under it, and reports are read.
Who makes it
Modeldrill is made and operated by Dravari, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company based in Wilmington, Delaware, USA. The sites are built and maintained by a small team; there is no outside funding and no advertising on the practice pages. Revenue comes from Pro subscriptions, which is what keeps the free exercises free.
